Step 1. First of all Enable USB Debugging on your Samsung Galaxy Y(GT-S5360).
Step 2. Now download CWM Recovery,CM Kernel and Android 4.4 Kitkat by clicking on below links.

Click Here To Download Latest Android 4.4 Kitkat ROM

Step 3. Copy all the above downloaded files into SD Card.You can copy files to your Android Phone's SD Card by using your Computer or Laptop.
Step 4. Turn your Android Device Off.
Step 5. Now Turn On your Device into Recovery Mode by Pressing Volume UP + Home + Power Buttons.
Step 6. Now select Apply Update From SD Card option and then select CWM Zip File.
Step 7. Now select Install Zip From SD and then select Choose Zip From SD Card.
Step 8. Now select CM Kernel Zip File and Confirm it by selecting Yes button.
Step 9. Now select Advanced and then select Reboot Recovery and your Android Phone will Reboot into CWM Recovery Mode.
Step 10. Now select Wipe Data/Reset and select Yes to confirm it.
Step 11. Now select Wipe Cache Partition and select Yes to Conform it.
Step 12. Now select Install Zip From SD >> Choose Zip From SD Card and select the Zip File of Android 4.4 Kitkat ROM.
Step 13. Now Go Back to Main Screen and select Reboot System.

  1. I tried updating my Galaxy Y and then when I reboot the phone, it won't open to its main screen. I've been on the display "Samsung Galaxy Y Young GT-S5360" for an hour. What to do? Please reply ASAP! I want to use my phone again.

  4. the firmwate is still 2.3.7 if you lookin phone its just a tweeked gingerbread rom
